ONE THOUSAND places have already been snapped up for this year’s Dorset Rainbow Run in a matter of weeks.

The 3k fun run to raise money for Naomi House & Jacksplace hospices takes place at Upton Country Park in Poole on Sunday, July 1.

Organisers say it has been the fastest selling event in the charity’s 21-year history.

The event sees participants get pelted with coloured powdered paint as they make their way around the course and now fewer than 100 places are available.

Keith Wilson, marketing manager at Naomi House & Jacksplace, said: “Our events always get a huge response from people in Dorset and we are hugely grateful to our supporters for all they are doing to ensure local children and young people can find the help they need.

“The Rainbow Run is a fabulous event and one that can be enjoyed by anyone, regardless of fitness. I would urge anyone wanting to take part to visit our website soon because ticket sales have been nothing short of exceptional.”

The hospices offer respite, emergency and end of life care to 325 children and young people, from newborns to 35-year-olds.

The charity hopes the Dorset Rainbow Run will raise £50,000 to pay for even more high quality care at the charity’s state of the art hospices near Winchester.

Entry to the Rainbow Run costs just £15 for adults and £10 for children. To sign up visit www.naomihouse.org.uk/events
