FIREFIGHTERS dealt with a range of incidents in Poole on Monday afternoon.

At 1.20pm, crews from Poole, Westbourne and Redhill were called to a multi-storey car park in the High Street after smoke was seen pouring from under the bonnet of a car.

The engine compartment was "well alight" and the fire was extinguished with a hose, a fire service spokesperson said.

Hours later, at 5.33pm, two Poole crews were sent to a fire in the ground floor flat of a property in Millstream Close.

Firefighters confirmed a blaze in a living room and rescued a man from inside the flat. The man was treated by paramedics.

Two sets of breathing apparatus, a hose and ventilation techniques were used to fight the fire.

At 8.82pm, two crews were sent to another incident at a Poole home after smoke was seen coming from a tumble dryer at a property in Rockley Road.

The fire was out when firefighters arrived.

Finally, crews were called to reports of bushes on fire in Stinsford Road at 11.35pm. The team extinguished the flames using a hose.
