FIRE crews had a busy weekend with callouts including car crashes and a burning skip.
At 7.16am on Saturday firefighters used a single hose to extinguish a burning car in Wallisdown, Poole.
Later that day, at 6.17pm, a crew from Poole battled a blazing skip in Higher Blandford Road in Broadstone, while at 9.27pm crews from Redhill Park and Westbourne assisted police with a crash in Alma Road, Bournemouth.
They extracted one person from a vehicle using hydraulic cutting equipment.
On Sunday, at 10.53am, a crew from Springbourne was summoned to Kings Park, where a pile of rubbish left by visitors had caught alight.
The service also responded to a number of false alarms and suspected outdoor fires which turned out to be controlled burns.
