PART of a road in Poole has been cordoned off after two sinkholes appeared.
The holes in Good Road, which is off Herbert Avenue in Rossmore, were reported to the council earlier this month.
An investigation was carried out, and the sinkholes at the junction of Stacey Close were filled in temporarily.
According to a spokesperson for Borough of Poole, the cause of the sinkholes is unknown.
The section of road affected has been cordoned off, and work to resurface the area will take place next week.
“Investigations didn’t show a specific cause of the issue so it seems to be down to the effects of weather and general wear and tear on the road surface,” a council spokesperson said.
“Early next week we’ll be doing full resurfacing of the area, and the road will re-open fully after that.”
