SOUL sensation Kenny Thomas has been revealed as the guest star supporting Michael Bolton at this year’s Upton House Music Festival in Poole on Saturday, June 10.

The multi-platinum selling artist dominated the commercial, soul and album charts in the 1990s and by the time he was 23 he had been nominated for two Brit Awards,

He has shared the stage with such luminaries as Edwin Starr, Freddie Jackson, Kool & The Gang, Incognito and Mica Paris and was a regular on Top of The Pops.

Kenny, whose hits include Outstanding, Thinking About Your Love, Best of You and Tender Love, said he was looking forward to performing at Upton House.

He said: “Singing is my first love, especially in an outdoor arena, and to perform at the same festival on the same stage as the great Michael Bolton makes it extra special for me.

“My fans have been incredibly loyal over the years and I certainly won’t disappoint them with the super show I’ve got line up for the night.”

Kenny has recently been performing with Bobby Womack, Lisa Stansfield, Shalamar, Patrice Rushen, Tavares, Alexander O'Neal, Beverley Knight and Level 42.

Internationally renowned and multi-million record selling singer-songwriter Michael Bolton is performing in an appearance exclusive to Upton.

Michael, whose latest album Songs Of Cinema was released last month, has sold more than 60 million records worldwide.

The three-night Upton House Music Festival held at the idyllic country park also includes a Classic Spectacular on Thursday, 8 June starring Sir Bryn Terfel, Escala, the BSO Concert Orchestra and soloist Lauren Fagan.

There is also an 80s Extravaganza on Friday, 9 June featuring R&B superstar Billy Ocean, singing sensation Kim Wilde and punk princess Toyah.
