AN elderly man was rescued from a house fire in Poole this morning.
Ashley Road in Poole has now reopened following the earlier closure.

Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service were called at 5.42am by a neighbour, who could see fire coming from the chimney of a house.
Firefighters forced entry to the building, and found the fire had spread from the chimney of a property.
Crews used one hose reel and two breathing apparatus to extinguish the blaze.
Three crews in total were called.
A spokesperson for DWFRS said: "Crews then discovered there was one person still in the building and the incident was declared as "persons reported".
"Crews found one elderly male casualty who was then treated for smoke inhalation.
"No other persons were inside the property.
"Crews extinguished the fire in the first floor bedroom using four breathing apparatus and two hose reel jets, with the stop message being received at 07:11am."
A 72-year-old man was taken to hospital with smoke inhalation.
There is damage to first floor bedroom.
Fire investigation are at the scene.
