A SOFT play centre at Poole's Tower Park will close for a week as part of its ongoing £250,000 revamp.

Lemur Landings is undergoing a transformation that will include a new party suite, several new adventure features, an improved under 5's area, toddler area and improved access facilities.

Work began in October for the new party centre, but the ongoing work does mean the centre will shut to the public for a week from January 9.

Group marketing director Jackie Richmond said: "This is a really exciting time and everyone has been working so hard to make it all a reality.

"This shutdown week is going to be a tough and long week, and we are sorry for the disruption to our customers but afterwards we will be on the home straight and we hope everyone will agree with us that it was worth the wait.

"The whole thing will be finished in the coming weeks and we will be showing everything off to the public.

"Lemur Landings will no longer be a traditional soft play centre, but a next generation family entertainment centre and all the more fun for it."

Lemur Landings will reopen on January 14 , with more work to come afterwards that does not require any more closures.
