A bag of bones found in a car park in Poole are pig remains, police have confirmed.
Officers cordoned off part of a car park in Poole after reports that bags filled with bones were discovered.
Officers were called to the site off Denmark Lane just before 3pm on Monday.
A member of the public made the call.
Sergeant Alex Smith of Poole Police said there had been a report of suspicious items in the car park.
A small cordon was put in place while the items were examined.
Scenes of crimes officers arrived just after 4pm on Monday.
Three large bin bags were found by officers investigating.
It is not known if all three were filled with bones.
The bags have now been removed to be disposed of, a force spokesperson confirmed.
