THE top two decks of the Dolphin Shopping Centre’s multi-storey car park in Poole should reopen today after a four-month closure.
Engineers have been carrying out major work on the car park as part of a £2.3m project.
This has included re-waterproofing and resurfacing, replacing the main joints and replacing lights with new LED lanterns.
Borough of Poole (BOP) engineering manager John Rice said: “This four month project is nearly completed with the works being finished on time and within budget. We are carrying out the finishing touches to the car park before it is fully reopened for public use.”
Although the top decks will open today, BOP officials say, further works to the car park will be undertaken next year.
Centre manager John Grinnell said: “We are pleased that shoppers will be able to use the full car park in time for the busy shopping period leading up to Christmas.”
