AN inquest has been opened into the death of a Poole dad killed in a motorbike crash last month.
The cause of Joe Howe's death remains unascertained, pending histology and toxicology results, the Bournemouth inquest heard.
Joe, 23, died in Poole Hospital's Accident and Emergency department after a collision between a Kawasaki motorbike and a Renault Clio in Lindsay Road, Poole on October 23, Dorset coroner Sheriff Payne was told.
He was on the motorbike with his friend, Tom Wilson, 21, who suffered life-threatening injuries.
Joe, of Bournemouth Road, Poole, had a three-year-old son. Scores of bouquets were left at the scene, including one bearing a message on behalf of his little boy.
It said: "To my daddy. I will always remember you forever in my heart.
"Love you more than I can tell you, lots of love your little NONO’s xxxxxx."
The inquest was adjourned until an interim date of March 9.
