POLICE and ambulance have been called to a crash between a car and motorcycle.

The incident has taken place at the junction of Leven Avenue and Glenferness Avenue.

A spokesperson for Dorset Police said they were called at 8.51am by the ambulance service.

Traffic is being diverted down Glenferness Avenue.

A spokesperson for South West Ambulance Service said a 54-year-old male motorcyclist suffered a foot injury and back pain.

He was taken to Royal Bournemouth Hospital for treatment.

There are also long delays on Castle Lane West from West Way to Cooper Dean roundabout.

The journey is taking around 40minutes, reports say.

Earlier police closed a road in Poole after a crash between a motorcycle and car.

Officers from Dorset Police were called to Creekmoor Lane at 7.44am this morning.

The road is closed in both directions near the roundabout junction of Creekmoor Lane and Upton Road.

An ambulance and a police car are at the scene and traffic is being diverted.

Ben Brown, who is travelling on a bus in the area, said: "It has already added about 20 minutes to my journey and the traffic is getting worse."

The road-re-opened at 9am.

The 29-year-old motorcyclist from Bournemouth was taken to hospital with suspected broken bones.

The roads were closed by police as both casualties were lying in the road.

And emergency services were also called to Poole where a cyclist was in a collision with a car.

Paramedics and police were called to Blandford Road at the junction of Tuckers Lane at 8.55am where the crash occurred.

The road was partially blocked but traffic could still move freely in both directions.

Paramedics treated the male cyclist at the scene. Police and paramedics left the site of the incident by 9.20am.
