STAFF and children at a nursery are celebrating a great first Ofsted review.

Muddy Boots Nursery School, based at Hamworthy, was awarded an 'outstanding' rating in all areas after the inspection on July 1.

It is the first Ofsted inspection the preschool had undergone since opening in September 2014.

Director Carna Wilson said: "Muddy Boots Nursery couldn't be happier with our amazing result. "Since opening in September 2014 we have strived to ensure our full focus is on the children in our care and their families, and for that to be recognised by Ofsted is a wonderful achievement.

"We continue to try and achieve the best possible outcomes for our children and prepare them not only for school, but we hope we give each child skills they can take with them in life.

"We are once again filling up fast ready for September 2016, and we hope we can carry on making a difference to children and families."

Within the report, inspector Lorraine Sparey said: "The management team is inspiring. It works extremely well with staff and parents to provide positive outcomes for children.

"The team implements highly effective methods to monitor and evaluate the provision. Parents' views are valued. Staff are supported to attend courses, which they use to make a significant difference to children's learning."
