Poole RNLI were called to help a vessel which had run aground on Tuesday evening.
The inshore lifeboat crew were called at 6.10pm to assist the two-person crew aboard a 40ft Dutch yacht, which had become stranded in shallow waters between Jerry's Point and Goathorn Point at Poole Harbour.
It had been there since Tuesday morning.
A towline was attached to free the vessel at high tide, and the boat was able to re-float and continue to Goathorn.
A spokesperson said: “The lifeboats returned back to station and were ready for service by 7pm.”
