A CYCLIST has been taken to hospital following a collision with a car – in which the vehicle failed to stop at the scene.
Emergency services were called around 11.30am to the incident in Longmeadow Lane, Upton, near the Creekmoor Roundabout.
A Dorset Police spokesman said: “The collision involved a grey Mazda convertible which failed to stop at the scene.
“The driver’s side of the vehicle likely has some damage. If anyone sees a vehicle matching this description please contact police on 101.”
A South Western Ambulance Service spokesman confirmed that a 45-year-old male cyclist was taken to Poole Hospital with a shoulder injury.
Longmeadow Lane was partially blocked while emergency services dealt with the incident.
