HERBERT Avenue in Poole was closed both ways following a crash between a motorbike and a car.
At 5.50pm, police were called to the scene and shut the road at its junction with Arne Avenue.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said the motorcyclist had sustained minor injuries.
The NPAS helicopter tweeted just after 6.30pm to say the road had been re-opened.
