A SERIOUS crash between a lorry and a motorcycle closed part of Broadstone Way in Poole this afternoon.
Police and ambulance were called to the scene of the collision, which happened near to McDonald's, at 3.15pm.
The road was closed northbound between Holes Bay Roundabout and Wessex Gate Retail Park while a black Suzuki motorcycle registered to a Verwood woman was recovered.
The rider of the bike suffered a broken leg and was taken to Poole Hospital, a spokesperson for Dorset Police confirmed.
The driver of the green and yellow lorry, registered to a Blandford company, was described as 'walking wounded'.
No major traffic queues were reported as a result of the road closure.
