A MAN who suffered serious head injuries during an alleged assault at a Poole holiday park has died in hospital.
Kenneth David Dickie was taken to Southampton General Hospital after the emergency services were called to Rockley Park holiday park, Napier Road, Hamworthy, in the early hours of Sunday, May 8, following reports of a disturbance.
Prior to paramedics arriving on scene, park security had administered first aid to 64-year-old Mr Dickie, who was from Poole.
Mr Dickie died of his injuries in hospital on Saturday afternoon, detectives have confirmed. His family have been informed and the coroner notified.
Two people have been arrested in connection with the incident.
Jamie Mitchell, from Poole, has been charged with committing grievous bodily harm and is due to attend Bournemouth Crown Court on June 9.
Meanwhile, a 57-year-old woman from Poole was arrested on suspicion of committing grievous bodily harm with intent, and perverting the course of justice. She has been released on police bail until mid July, pending further enquiries.
