CHOCOLATE lovers at Dorset disability charity Diverse Abilities enjoyed a special party, courtesy of confectionary brand Galaxy.

The charity was chosen to receive a hamper of Galaxy goodies to mark the fifth anniversary of the philanthropic campaign The Galaxy Hot Chocolate Fund, and to recognise its work in the local community.

Volunteers and staff from the organisation, along with people with physical and learning disabilities who are supported by Diverse Abilities, joined in the fun.

Beccy Briley, corporate and community fundraiser, said: “We work hard to ensure children and adults with disabilities in Dorset achieve their full potential by providing a lifetime of sustainable support and educational services.

"The party supplied by the Galaxy Hot Chocolate Fund put a huge smile on the faces of everyone in attendance, especially those we support. It meant a lot to us that we were chosen out of thousands of entrants and everyone got to share this special day.”

Galaxy Hot Chocolate is looking to help small, local community groups and charities across the UK and Ireland by donating cash awards to support warm-hearted people and projects through the Galaxy Hot Chocolate Fund.

The fund will distribute five £300 awards every week until February 28. Applications can be made at galaxyhotchocolate.com.
