A NUMBER of Condor Ferries sailings between Poole and the Channel Islands have been cancelled tomorrow due to expected adverse weather conditions associated with storm Abigail.
The ferry operator says predicted wave heights through the northern part of the English Channel will exceed legal operating limits.
Cancelled services include Saturday's 11.30am Poole to Guernsey crossing, the 3pm Guernsey to Jersey service, 5pm Jersey to Guernsey and the 6.30pm Guernsey to Poole.
However, an expected lull in the weather early Saturday morning will enabled ferry bosses to run limited rescheduled sailings for The Condor Liberation and Condor Rapide.
A ferry company spokesman explained: "There is expected to be a brief break in the weather on Saturday morning, before it picks up again.
"Because the weather break may not be long enough for a full rotation, we plan to run an additional cross channel service on Saturday morning to Guernsey only.
"Condor Rapide will therefore be rerouted to provide a link for passengers travelling to and from Jersey.
"Regrettably, this means we must cancel day trips from Jersey to St Malo for Saturday, November 14."
