A HEARTBROKEN family is offering a £500 reward to help find their missing dog Beany.

Their beloved Jack Russell terrier disappeared during a late afternoon walk near Lilliput woods at around 4.45pm on Thursday September 10.

Owner Ali Ham and her family and friends have been searching the area for many hours every day since she disappeared and have posted numerous signs around the neighbourhood but to no avail.

At first Ali thought her pet might have been stolen or had become stuck in a rabbit hole, but their hopes were raised after several reports last week of a dog matching Beany’s description.

Ali said: “There has been two sightings in Brudenell Avenue and Nairn Road at the beginning of the week but nothing since. By now she could be anywhere in the Poole/Bournemouth area. We are obviously very worried for her and desperate to get her home.”

Beany is a tri-colour terrier with a red collar, she is white with a dark spot on her back and she is microchipped. Anyone with any information can contact Ali on 07787 522591.

"We think she may be in Luscombe Valley somewhere. I've put posters up around the area and we have also had help from the local lost dog charity and RSCPA. She has never run off before."

Ali says her two children are devastated.

"Last night we left her bed and a bowl of water near to where she was last seen. We are desperate to find her. The children want her home."
