A SECOND mountain of filthy waste has been dumped illegally at another business park in Poole.

This 8ft high mound of rubbish was left at Marshes End office complex off Upton Road on Wednesday night.

A day later a similar mound of compacted rotting waste greeted staff at businesses at the nearby Fleetsbridge Business Centre, after it was dumped there on Thursday night.

Workers at the office buildings, which include premises for WDS, Xerox and Towergate Insurance, discovered this first stinking heap on Thursday morning in the gravel overflow car park alongside their site.

Suzanne Wilson, property manager at Forelle Estates, one of the owners of the Marshes End site, told the Echo: "It's a huge lorry load. It looks very similar to the type of rubbish dumped at the Fleetsbridge Businesses Centre. It's very unpleasant waste and looks like it's been compacted already. One of the employees from WDS was down at the Fleetsbridge site and that's when we made the connection."

She told the Echo the waste was likely to be expensive to remove and called on members of the public who had seen anything unusual to get in touch.

"We need to raise awareness that this type of thing is going on," she added.

Neil Bullard of Colonial Contractors, who was tasked with the clean-up operation at Fleetsbridge, said such waste sometimes comes from industrial units that have been loaded with landfill waste.

"Then someone gets the call to clear it out and it's fly-tipped," he added.

Anthony Streets, from Spectrum Housing, which has premises on the industrial park at Fleetsbridge, said he had never seen anything dumped on the site of this size before.

“We’ve had the odd bit of rubbish from domestic homes, or even garden furniture, but nothing on this scale,” he said.
