Police carry out search following reports of an attempted break-in at school
POLICE were called to reports of a possible burglary at a school in Canford Heath last night.
Officers, assisted by the police helicopter, carried out a search at Magna Academy around 1am following reports voices were heard and there were people on the school grounds.
However, a police search found no signs of an attempted break-in.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: "Officers assisted by NPAS Bournemouth and police dogs attended the scene. A search was carried out but police couldn't find anything.
"Police also went inside to check. First indications are that no entry was gained into the school."
They added the school would be carrying out its own investigations today.
