A CAR and a lorry were involved in a crash near Mountbatten Roundabout by Miller and Carter steakhouse in Poole this afternoon.
Three fire engines, two police cars and a police bike were on the scene. An ambulance and one rapid response vehicle also attended.
The roof of a grey Mercedes A140 was removed by firefighters using cutting equipment. A woman was then put on a spinal board and carried into an ambulance.
Police were called at 2.51pm and Wallisdown Road was closed westbound to traffic.
The grey Mercedes A140 is registered to a woman from Bournemouth and the other vehicle involved, a black HGV, is registered to a company from Glasgow.
Queues of vehicles lined the roads around the area while emergency services attended to those involved.
Wallisdown Road was fully re-opened to traffic just after 5pm.
