RESIDENTS are invited to go behind the scenes at Poole Hospital on Saturday for a special open day event.
Services from across the NHS hospital, as well as healthcare partners, will have a range of stands explaining their work.
Visitors will also be able to listen to a number of health talks in the hospital's lecture theatre.
Cardiologist Dr Christopher Boos, oncologist Dr Tamas Hickish and emergency consultant Dr Gary Cumberbatch will be speaking.
A hospital spokesman said: "There will be a chance to try on a chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear warfare (CBRN) suit, learn CPR, have your BMI checked, your face painted, explore an ambulance and fire engine, find out more about clinical services, and many more displays from across the hospital."
There will also be a BBQ and cream teas, as well as children's activities.
The open day takes place on July 4, between 10am-2.30pm, at the main hospital site on Longfleet Road.
