A 12-year-old boy has been taken to hospital with head injuries after being involved in a collision with a car in Poole.
South Western Ambulance Service were called just after 8.20am this morning with reports of the incident on Dorchester Road, close to the Lytchett United Royal British Legion Club.
Ambulance staff attended to the male pedestrian who has received head, hand and leg injuries as a result of the collision, before he was transferred to Poole Hospital's accident and emergency department.
The vehicle involved is a blue Vauxhall Zafira registered to an address in Poole.
Police officers worked on the scene to investigate the cause of the incident.
Dorchester Road was fully re-opened by 9.10am.
