A MOTORCYCLIST who sustained life-threatening injuries after being involved in a crash on Thursday remains in hospital.

The 56-year-old was taken to Poole Hospital after his bike was involved in a collision with a car on the A35 near the Baker’s Arms Roundabout in Lytchett Minster, shortly before 11am.

He sustained injuries to his chest, leg and arms during the collision and was due to undergo an operation over the weekend. A spokesman from Dorset Police said, as of Saturday, his condition had improved a bit but his injuries remained life-threatening.

The collision involved a motorbike and a silver BMW car.

The driver of the car is thought to have suffered a fractured leg in the crash. Officers are appealing witnesses, or anyone who may have seen either vehicle prior to the crash, to call police on 101, quoting incident number 22:120.
