POLICE are continuing their investigations into a domestic abuse incident which saw armed police swoop on a road in Poole on Tuesday Marshal Road in the Waterloo area of the town was cordoned off while firearms officers, uniformed police and dog handlers were on the scene, following a call made to the emergency services at around noon. Residents spoke of seeing police going door to door at the shops along The Parade, which were behind the cordon, and officers showed staff a picture of a man, asking if they had seen him. Officers also reassured those who live and work along Marshal Road that there were no concerns for public safety.

The police activity appeared to focus on a residential property along the road. A white BMW car was also recovered from the scene.

A spokesperson from Dorset Police has confirmed that no arrests have been made in relation to the incident.
