An inquest into the death of a woman who died of severe morphine toxicity has been opened and adjourned.
Catherine Casey, 83, was found at her home in Oakdale Road, Poole, on July 13.
She was unresponsive in bed and an empty bottle of Oramorph was on her bedside table, Bournemouth Coroner’s Court heard.
A post-mortem concluded the cause of death was severe morphine toxicity.
The inquest was formally opened by Dorset Deputy Coroner Brendan Allen and adjourned until Tuesday, December 9.
