POOLE Lifeboat Station open day gives people the chance to have a look behind the scenes of a busy operation.
The station on Poole Quay near Poole Bridge, opens its doors on Sunday, August 10 from 11am to 4.30pm.
There will be lots to see and do for all the family, with real-life rescue scenario demonstrations between the quays, Stormy Stan will be there, plus games, a tombola, raffle, souvenirs and refreshments.
“The crew look forward to meeting people on dry land,” said volunteer coxswain Jonathan Clark. “We enjoy sharing the station and promoting what we do. Everyone is very welcome and all the monies raised will go to supporting the running costs of the station.
