A CONDOR tied up to Poole Quay attracted more than 2,000 visitors keen to explore the fast ferry.

Condor Vitesse was open to all allowing locals and Easter visitors to tour the vessel, which usually runs to the Channel Islands.

Families were able to visit the bridge and engine room, meet the captain and learn more about day trips to Guernsey, Jersey and St Malo. Visitors also benefited from exclusive offers including half-price day trips and 10 per cent discounts on longer breaks. Almost 100 trips were booked during the day.

“We were delighted to welcome so many visitors aboard and to offer them the chance to find out more about our destinations in the Channel Islands and France,” said Justin Amey, marketing manager at Condor Ferries.

“The visits to the engine room and bridge proved especially popular with families wanting a behind-the-scenes look at the fast ferry and it was great to see so many people booking a trip with us to discover our beautiful destinations for themselves.”
