THE Poole premiere of new James Bond film Skyfall left fundraisers shaken and stirred when it made £7,500 for patient care at Lewis-Manning Hospice.
Members of the Aston Martin Owners Club brought along five of their own cars – together worth £1million – to show off on the red carpet. A luxury RIB was also on display.
Guests, including TV personality Debra Stephenson, enjoyed a champagne reception at Lemur Landings, which was transformed into a glamorous venue for the evening.
Altogether the charity raised £6,000 from tickets – which sold out in a week – and the rest from the raffle and donations on the night.
Community fundraiser Sara Sheppard said: “We were completely privileged to be given the rights from Sony to show James Bond Skyfall one day earlier than UK cinemas.
“It was a fantastic premiere event and every guest looked stunning and really put the effort in to look glamorous.
“We raised an amazing amount of money for the hospice and it’s a great way to celebrate James Bond’s 50th anniversary on the hospice’s 20th anniversary.”
The hospice thanked sponsors LV=, Savills and Tower Park for sponsoring the event, Black Label Events for the catering and Lemur Landings for the venue.
