FEARLESS flag wavers are needed to help supervise two-hours of pedal powered excitement in Ringwood.
With a month to go until the return of the Magna Mazda British Pedal Car Grand Prix to the streets of the market town, a call is being made for marshals.
Race director, Jim Stride, said the biggest ever edition of the Echo-backed event would require more marshals to lend a hand.
“This year’s circuit is the longest yet so we can accommodate our biggest ever field. More circuit means more bales and barriers, and more cars means more thrills and spills.
“At the end of the day, we need more marshals,” said Jim.
Long-time race steward, Steve Fowler, will supervise volunteers, who will receive vouchers for tea and coffee and a GP 2010 medal.
The race will be held on Sunday July 11 and starts at 2pm. Charities Help For Heroes, Tenovus, and Wave 105’s Cash for Kids, will benefit from money raised.
