DRUGS, cash and ammunition were seized after police raided a property in North Dorset.

Officers executed a warrant at an address in St Paul’s Green, Sherborne, on Wednesday morning in a joint operation by members of the Sherborne, Dorchester and Bridport Neighbourhood Policing Teams.

Police say it was carried out as a result of community-led intelligence.

A 38-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of Class B (cannabis), possession of controlled drug of Class A and possession of ammunition for a firearm without a certificate.

He is currently assisting officers with enquiries.

A spokesperson said for Sherborne Police said: “Dorset Police will always act on information about suspected drug misuse and dealing and we would encourage anyone with information about such activity in their area to contact us.
