A NEW video gaming hub in Blandford is offering visitors he chance to win free playing time at an open day on Saturday
Game On in Salisbury Street has been open since February and offers people of all ages the chance to enjoy games on Virtual Reality (VR), Xbox One, PCs and retro consoles.
Husband and wife owners Mark and Cathy Jacques said they spotted a gap in the market for the centre.
“While visiting friends in the north of England and being introduced to their family’s favourite hang out, a Gaming Centre, my wife, Cathy, and I started talking excitedly about the possibility of bringing such a venture to our home town of Blandford and from there Game On was born,” Mr Jacques said.
Mrs Jacques added: “Our goal is to provide a safe and comfortable environment for the community not only to play, but to discuss and share knowledge about games from the 1980s to the present day.”
Game On is open Tuesday to Sunday every week and an open day has been organised for Saturday (7.2) from 11am to 3pm.
Visitors will be able to test their skills on a range of video games and the first 10 people through the door will automatically be entered into a draw to win an hour's free gaming.
