A HOUSEKEEPER at a care home in Blandford has been shortlisted for a national industry award.
Debbie Hunter, who works at the Blandford Grange care home, has been named as a finalist in the ‘Best Housekeeper’ category in the National Care Awards
The annual awards are organised by ‘Caring Times’ magazine and celebrate the very best people in the long-term care sector, by highlighting excellence and rewarding those who work tirelessly to provide consistently outstanding care.
Debbie joined Blandford Grange care home as a domestic assistant in May 2014 and has since been promoted to Head Housekeeper.
Home Manager Deborah Davies said: “Debbie is such a core part of the team here at Blandford Grange, her contribution to the home is really quite exceptional and I am so pleased that she has been recognised in this way.
“For Debbie, her work is not simply a job, it’s her passion, and I am continually overwhelmed by the effort and dedication she delivers, going out of her way to make the home the best it can be for our residents.”
A judging day for the awards took place last month and the winners will be announced at special ceremony in London in November.
