AN inquest into the death of a Shaftesbury lorry driver is set to conclude.

David Alan Weeks died after a crash on the A303 which took place at 11.55am on Monday, August 15.

He was taken to hospital with serious injuries but died that night.

The inquest was opened into the 57-year-old's death on August 19.

The full hearing will conclude on October 25 at Basingstoke Law Courts.

Hampshire Police and the South Central Ambulance Service were called to the scene at Micheldever where Mr Weeks, a lorry driver, was found trapped inside his cab on the westbound carriageway.

The HGV vehicle had been involved in a collision with a rubbish truck, emergency services reported at the time.

The ambulance service sent an officer, an ambulance and the hazardous area response team, as well as the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance to the scene.
