FIREFIGHTERS were called with reports of an explosion in Shaftesbury last night (AUG1).
A crew was sent after callers reported smoke in the area of Mampitts Lane.
They found a person had been using a shotgun on a farm, while nearby a bonfire had been alight.
As the incidents were found to be unconnected, it was recorded as a false alarm with good intent.
No further action was taken by the fire service.
