PLANS to double the size of the Brockenhurst village conservation area have been tabled by New Forest National Park Authority.
The village conservation area was previously centred on Waters Green.
Now the NPA wants to add homes and businesses from Forest Park Hotel to the historic parish of St Nicholas.
The conservation area will include most of Meerut Road, Rhinefield Road, The Rise, village high street Brookley Road, cottages and businesses near the level crossing and Church Lane.
The NPA also wants to extend the conservation area at Keyhaven to include estuary moorings, the slipway and the five residential properties east of the estuary. Also up for inclusion are homes at the southern end of Lymore Lane and at Vidle Van Farm.
The deadline for comments is Friday February 6.
