THE SUN was shining at Milford on Sea Carnival which attracted more than 3,000 revellers.
Among the highlights of the event, based on children’s TV, were floats of Noddy at the seaside, Bill and Ben – now and then, Cruella de Vil and Top of the Pops.
Impressive appearances were also made from The Stig, Magic Roundabout and Willy Wonka.
The overall winner was Bollywood which included glitter and tinsel elephants.
Organiser Ray Sales said: “It was a splendid day and a great crowd turned out. Everyone I spoke to had a fantastic time. It was a really nice day.
“You could see a lot of effort had been put into the costumes.”
There was a climbing wall, a bouncy castle and stalls on the village green.
The carnival has been going for more than 30 years and the proceeds go to community charities.
