VILLAGERS are fighting plans to replace a bungalow with four new homes.
Lymington-based Moortown Developments is seeking consent to bulldoze a property in Brighton Road, Sway, and replace it with a small group of three-bedroom homes.
Moortown's application says the proposed development will "complement and enhance the street character".
It adds: "Houses within the the site are positioned to relate to the gardens of surrounding houses and the rear street frontage. The gardens are commensurate with their size."
But 11 neighbours have sent letters of objection to the Lymington-based New Forest National Park Authority, which will decide the application.
Critics claim the "cramped" scheme amounts to over-development and will result in the "urbanisation of the village".
Anyone else wishing to comment on the proposal has until March 26 to submit their views.
