TWO new 'shopping express' buses are due to start thanks to demand from the public.

Yellow Buses has introduced the new services from New Milton to Bournemouth and from Ringwood to Castlepoint in response to customer feedback.

They will run from Monday to Friday.

The X37 leaves Whitefield Road in New Milton at 9.30am and travels via Highcliffe, Hinton Admiral, Somerford Sainsbury’s, Christchurch and Boscombe to Bournemouth town centre.

It returns from Bournemouth to New Milton, departing Bournemouth Square at 2.30pm.

The X38 will leave Meeting House Lane in Ringwood at 9.30am for Castlepoint arriving 20 minutes later. It will leave Castlepoint at 11.50am, giving two hours shopping.

Paul Wren, commercial director of Yellow Buses, said: “Customers have requested more services of this type and we have responded to that.

“Initially they will run during term times, but if they prove popular we will run them through the holidays as well.

“The shopping facilities in Bournemouth and Castlepoint are attractive for those outside the conurbation and we hope they’ll use the services and find some bargains.”
