RESIDENTS of Ringwood have had their say on the second phase of the Linden Homes development.

The project at Crow Lane and Crow Arch Lane features 175 homes, with 50% categorised as affordable housing.

Planning permission for an initial 62 homes, parking provision and open spaces on the site was granted in March.

The second phase of the proposals details the remaining 113 homes.

It also includes information on two access points onto the site and the continued delivery of suitable alternative green spaces.

Developer Linden Homes invited 35 local households to the phase two part of the site for a detailed explanation of the proposals, while visiting other residents to explain the plans.

Following this consultation, Linden Homes provided a four-day exhibition at Ringwood Gateway to allow the wider community to comment.

A spokesperson for Linden Homes said: “We’d like to thank all those who gave their time and attended our public exhibition at the Ringwood Gateway.

"It was a great opportunity for the community to view our detailed proposals for the next phase of development on our site off Crow Lane and Crow Arch Lane, and to submit feedback.

"Early responses have shown continuing support for the layout, for our commitment to affordable housing and maintenance of the existing local character.

"There is still the opportunity for the local community to provide comments or ask questions via our manned 0800 line and project website. All feedback received will be carefully considered as we progress our reserved matters planning application."

The principal details for the site were granted outline planning permission by New Forest District Council in 2014.

Since then Linden Homes has carried out a series of consultations before submitting detailed plans for phase one of the site.

The developer hopes to submit an application for phase two of the project to NFDC later in the summer.

The deadline for responses to phase two of the development is Friday August 4.
