FIRE SERVICES were called to a fish and chip shop in Poulner following reports of a fire - but on arrival the fire was out.
A Hampshire Fire and Rescue spokesperson confirmed Hampshire crews from Ringwood and Fordingbridge attended the scene on Butlers Lane alongside two further crews from Dorset and Wiltshire Fire Service following a call at 3.30pm this afternoon.
A deep fat fryer had set alight at the shop, however was soon under control and the fire crews were not forced into action.
The stop message came in at 3.48pm.
The chip shop is open as usual.
