Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was robbed in public toilets in New Milton.

Hampshire Police have released an image of a man they want to speak to in connection with the incident.

The force said a man entered the female public toilets behind the Lloyds Pharmacy in Station Road just after 3pm on Tuesday.

A 70-year-old woman was pushed to the ground sustaining a cut to her hand and a bump on her head.

She was treated at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital for her injuries.

A canvas bag containing a mobile phone and purse was taken. The purse contained bank cards and cash.

The man ran off onto the High Street towards Osborne Road and the train station.

The suspect is described as white, around 40 years old, 5ft 10ins tall, slim build, dark brown receding hair, light stubble, sallow skin and was wearing a camouflage jacket with a hood made up of lines and pale brown in colour, a white t-shirt, dark trousers with 'BOSS' on the left leg, black trainers and carrying a white canvas bag.
