It’s official, the New Forest is one of the most photographed places in the country.

Holiday website Travelbird recently released figures showing the UK’s most snapped destinations on social media platform Instragram.

The New Forest came in fifth place after being ‘hashtagged’ 287,818 times.

The national park beat Snowdonia in Wales, Windermere in Cumbria and Glen Coe in Scotland.

Big Ben is the UK's most pictured attraction, followed by Buckingham Palace, Anfield and Stonehenge.

Disneyland in California was revealed as the most Instragrammed place in the world and was tagged a whopping 14.6m times, followed by the Eiffel Tower with 7.2m tags and Disney World in Florida with 5.4m.
