PAINT flew as 1,000 students, parents and staff helped to raised £10,000 for Oakhaven hospice.

Taking part in Brockenhurst College's annual colour run, 165kg of paint was used in the charity run.

Colours flew through the air on Sunday as the fundraising topped £10,000 for Oakhaven Hospice.

Running three times around the college's playing field, four stations were filled with coloured paint with participants caked in the colours.

Paula Cheshire, fundraising events manager for the hospice said: "It's the fourth year we've done it here and we love it, everyone has thoroughly enjoyed themselves. It takes about four months to plan and seeing it all come together is wonderful."

Lisa Northey-Dennis, the college's head of development said: "I think fundraising has topped about £10,000. It's one of our favourite events in the calendar and although it was windier than some would have liked, it's gone very well, we have a long history with the haven, about ten years now, so we love to give something back."
