MORE than two dozen vehicles were clamped in one day for having no tax or for being abandoned in New Milton.
It comes as part of a joint operation carried out by Hampshire Constabulary, the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) and New Forest District Council.
In total 26 untaxed vehicles were clamped and another was seized by police from someone who had no tax, MOT or insurance. Several people were also issued with fines and penalty notices.
Around 12 drivers discovered their vehicles had been clamped in Boscombe at the weekend.
PCSO Rosie Dimmer from the New Milton neighbourhoods team said the operation was in response to complaints by residents about vehicles parked and left in various roads around New Milton.
She added: "As a result of the joint efforts of the agencies involved, we have dealt with a number of offences and sent a warning to anyone looking to abandon vehicles in the area."
A council spokeswoman said the operation was a complete success.
"There is a possibility that we will look at doing it again in the future and in other areas," she added.
