FIREFIGHTERS battled a fire at Copythorne in the New Forest.
An area of bracken and woodland of around 200 square metres was affected off Barrow Hill Road.
Around 25 firefighters fought the flames after the alarm was raised at 3.30pm.
Crews from Redbridge, Eastleigh and St Mary’s used hoses and beaters.
There was not any danger to property.
The fire was extinguished by 5.45pm with an area of heathland damaged along with wooden electricity pylons.
