A RIDER has died after a head-on crash between two motorbikes on a New Forest road.
Janek Szarzynski, 29, was involved in a collision with a 48-year-old man on the B3054 Beaulieu Road between Hilltop and the Heath Roundabout at about 7.10am on Friday morning.
Both suffered life-threatening injuries and were rushed to Southampton General hospital, but Mr Szarzynski, of Fareham, died later that day.
The 48-year-old rider remains in a critical but stable condition.
Sergeant Mark Furse, from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “We would still like to hear from anyone who witnessed this collision on Friday morning.
“There were several vehicles around at the time of the incident so if you have not yet spoken to us, please get in touch as you may have information which could assist our investigation.”
