A STREET which is filled with hundreds of colourful lights every Christmas has been filmed to feature in a TV advert.

Jason Dean said that a production crew working on behalf of Cadbury's filmed Byron Road in New Milton on Tuesday (NOV15) as part of their festive commercial.

He said that the house of his father, Ged Hollyoake, was one of the houses used as a background for the piece. He believes that it features the story of a boy who visits a road where all the houses are lit up with exception to one, which he helps to fix.

Jason said: "Over the years, we have had so much media coverage for the road.

"The production company are creating an online advent calendar for the Cadbury's website about Christmas wishes and they were filming the TV advert in our road."

He went on say that over time, the residents of Byron Road have raised over £45,000 for good causes with the annual lights display, before adding that this year's switch-on takes place on Sunday, November 27 at 6pm.

Jason added: "My dad loves the attention that it attracts as it puts a smile on everyone's faces."

A spokesperson for Cadbury's was unavailable for comment.
